Woven Planet Holdings, Inc., headquartered in Tokyo, was founded in March 2018 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation with the original company name "Toyota Research Institute-Advanced Development, Inc (TRI-AD)". for the purpose of creating innovative technology and advanced safety systems that will enable Toyota’s vision, “Mobility for All.”
Effective January 2021, it expanded and improved its operations into a holding company, two operating companies and the investment fund.
The holding company is Woven Planet Holdings, Inc. (Woven Planet), the two operating companies under it will be Woven Core, Inc. (Woven Core) which will develop, implement and scale automated driving technologies at its core, and Woven Alpha, Inc. About the Woven City Experience Team
Our mission is to design a city that unlocks human potential to thrive through technology. We take this mission seriously and to achieve our goals, we take our team dynamics equally seriously. The Woven City Experience team is part of the User Experience organization at Woven Planet and currently consists of three UX disciplines: design, UX research, and simulation. We use cutting-edge technologies like DigitalTwin to turn ideas into reality and uncover meaningful and unexpected connections between people, technology, and the environment. The team will continue to increase its team's capabilities and add new functions such as content strategy and UX program management.

Role & Responsibilities -
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Product Designer who has designed software products and services across different platforms serving millions of users. You enjoy taking vaguely defined requirements and turning them into tangible solutions. You are also a consummate team player who knows how to collaborate with the product and engineering teams to make well-informed decisions by leveraging both qualitative and quantitative data.
・Collaborate with Woven City Management (Product) and engineers to understand customer and business needs and translate them into interactions and design that align with the vision of Woven City, which is to build a human-centered smart city that continuously improves the quality of life
・Create user flows, prototypes, wireframes, and visual design using tools such as Figma, Miro, Adobe CS, and/or other prototyping tools
・Use active listening skills to resolve conflicts with cross-functional partners
・Collaborate with UX researchers to determine appropriate research methods and apply insights to enhance the design process for products and services
・Lead with other senior UX members to maintain and evolve the Woven City design system
・Help other designers navigate through change and ambiguity

REQUIRED FOR CONSIDERATION
・Business level English and Japanese language proficiency
・An online portfolio showcasing examples of UX, UI, and Visual Design work for multiple platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, a related field, or relevant experience
- 7+ years of experience designing for Web, mobile, and other devices, such as in-store/city digital interactions
- Interaction and visual design skills
- Experience in designing mobile app experiences from start to finish
- Proven knowledge of web-based application design trends, patterns, usability, technical considerations, and best practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and agile environment
- Experience working in a startup environment as well as a larger established company
- Experience working on large-scale products and services connecting physical and digital worlds
- Experience validating design concepts using VR or AR
- Experience with multimodal interfaces
- Experience in urban design or sustainable design
- Agile certification or comparable experience working in an Agile environment
